Louisiana will host the Central Division Championship on June 10-15 and it has been determined that the Red River will be host waters. The tournament will launch from Shreveport/Bossier City, LA, and anglers will be allowed to fish Red River pools 3, 4, and 5.

Louisiana Bass Federation and all its members would like to congratulate Jeff Bruhl and Rodney Teel for qualifying to fish the TBF Nationals next year. Jeff finished in first place for our state and will be the boater, and Rodney finished second and will be the non-boater. Good job guys!

Randy Williford, our new District 3 Director has secured Grand Ecore Landing in Pool 3 on the Red River in Natchitoches, LA, slated for September 17th & 18th.

An important update!
Our President Steve Streeter has officially resigned from the Louisiana Bass Federation due to health reasons. Vice President David Sherrer will assume the role of President. We wish Steve well and pray for a speedy recovery.

News from the Board of Directors meeting held on January 16th is that the LBF will continue with the single qualifying tournament and that District 3 will be hosting the 2011 LBF qualifying tournament on September 17th-18th. The tentative location will be the Red River, Grand Ecore landing in Natchitoches, LA.
For the 2011 qualifying tournament, LBF will now determine the top 12 anglers using overall weight of the fish instead of the points system used in past tournaments.

Fellow Bass Federation Members,
I am writing to inform you that the Executive Board had a meeting about membership and decided in this meeting that due to low participation the 3 tournament format would be tabled for this year. We are going back to the one qualifying tournament in September; the entry fee will be $150.00.
The fall tournament is a 2-day tournament that will be held September 18th & 19th on East Pearl River. The launch site will be the public launch at HWY 90 Bridge. Dead water will be Sept. 13, 14 & 15th. Official practice days will be September 16th & 17th. Pairing will be at 5:00pm on the 17th at the Launch site. Fellow Bass Federation Members,
I am writing to let you know some of the things that are coming up this year. We have a complete boat & motor package that we are going to auction off. It is a 2010, 208 single console Ranger boat with a 2010 Yamaha 225 HPDI series-2 motor w/prop. Trolling motor, electronics, batteries & built in charger are not included. All upgrades from these are extra. The retail price is $47,000.00. The minimum bid is $33,000.00 in increments of $100.00. Send your bids to PO BOX 1629, Bastrop, LA. 71221-1629. Due to the Gen -Mar corp. buy out, Ranger told us that we have to order the boat on the 28th of Jan. We have to have all bids postmarked by Jan. 8th. We will let the winner know by Jan the 12th and the winner will have 14 business days to get the money to us. They will be going to Lake Truman in Missouri June 13-18, 2010 to fish against the other states in the Central Division.
If you are on the state team & you see that you will not be able to fish, please contact me as soon as possible _ 318-282-8064 or 318-281-9709 so I can get an alternate to take your place. We would also like to remind you that 2010 dues are due by Dec31st. The cost is the same $15.00 TBF & $20.00 LBF. Starting in 2010 all FLW dues will be paid through The Louisiana Bass Federation . All FLW membership dues will expire Dec 31st of 2010. If your membership expires in 2010 you will be charged the balance for the remaining part of the year. EXAMPLE: Say your membership expires in May you will only pay June Dec 2010.Then when you renew for 2011 it will be $35.00 each year. We will contact you in the near future on the amount of FLW dues.
